Background
Working in the marketing and public relations fields for the past eight years, I have been in charge of many corporate events and openings. I’ve worked with several venues, caterers and party rental companies, negotiating contracts and organizing a variety of tasks for each event. Within the last three years, I have enjoyed volunteering with HomeAid Orange County’s premier fund-raising event: Project Playhouse. This auction event is held at Fashion Island annually, and attracts millions of visitors while raising money for the charity to benefit the transitionally homeless in Orange County.
Founding A Unique Event
I was very happy to plan my own wedding, and truly enjoyed researching new and creative ideas to incorporate. Because I had thought that my organized and detailed planning was enough, I had never considered seeking a professional wedding coordinator. As I came upon the “big day,” it was my venue, the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, who impressed upon me the value of hiring a wedding coordinator to attend to my personal needs, above and beyond what their stellar staff could already provide on our wedding day. It was this realization and after seeing our special event unfold beautifully, that I decided to take my passion for weddings and offer assistance to future brides. Hence, A Unique Event was born.
Wedding Coordination & Planning
A Unique Event offers day-of event coordination, as well as full-service planning. My goal is to assist you in your planning and execution, so you may truly enjoy the experience of your wedding day, without the stress. As owner, I am involved with each event personally, and do not send out sub-consultants to perform the job. Though I may elect to bring assistants on board for large events, you can rest assured that I will be at your wedding to make sure everything goes smoothly the way you have envisioned it.

Cultural Diversity
Living in Southern California, we are fortunate to be part of a diverse blend of cultures – and it’s natural for our weddings to showcase this rich heritage. I have been involved with weddings that feature Cuban, Vietnamese, Chinese and Cambodian customs, in addition to traditional Western themes and faiths.
Initial Consultation
Sharing a synergy with your coordinator is the most important part of choosing the person who will be responsible for all the details. This website can only give you so much information about A Unique Event. I highly recommend an initial meeting where we can get to know each other’s personalities. I trust that you will know when you’ve met the right person for the job. There is no obligation to book services during our first meeting.
Serving Southern California
A Unique Event is based in Irvine, California, and is privately owned and operated. I am available at no extra travel charge for events in the greater Los Angeles area, including Orange County, Riverside County, and parts of San Diego County. Consideration for events outside of these areas can be arranged on a personal basis.
